Before end 2005, flying saucers will be used for many
civilian uses : air photo, news, communication...
Sixty-year-old former ingineer Michel Guilhot-Gaudeffroy
just created his company, Workfly.
The saucers are in fact computer-driven helicopter
drones. Named " Eyesfly ",
these futuristic, 1,30 mètre wide crafts carrying
a camera lived up to their name : " We'll be able
to film very closely and in complete safety things like
sports events, construction sites highway traffic "
said Michel Guilhot-Gaudeffroy.
For the moment though, the drones have but a half-hour
flying range. Fututre batteries should increase their
autonomy.
The firm plans to open in France several " Eyesfly "
rental agencies for 1,050 € per day. Purchasing
a saucer could cost up to 65,000 €.
